چکیده

We consider a realistic modelling of interferences for frequency allocation in hertzian telecommunication networks. In contrast with traditional interference models based only on binary interference constraints, this new approach considers the case of a receiver disrupted simultaneously by several senders yielding cumulative disruptions that are modelled through a unique non-binary constraint. To deal with these complex constraints, we propose extensions of classical integer linear programming formulations. On a set of realistic instances provided by the CELAR, we propose several exact and heuristic solution methods including branch and cut, constraint programming, and large neighbourhood search. We also compare the performances of our best methods with those of existing heuristics and we show how the end-user benefits from using the cumulative model instead of the traditional one.

Allocation de fréquence dans les systèmes de communication par satellites de type SDMA

In this thesis, we consider frequency assignment problems arising from an SDMA satellite communication system which consists of a satellite and a number of users distributed inside a fixed sized service area. The objective is to assign a given number of frequency carriers to as many users as possible. This assignment should not violate the incurred interference constraints. Two types of interfe...

Spectrum Allocation for Frequency-Agile Radio Networks under Physical Interference Models

Spectrum frequency allocation problems are fundamental problems in wireless spectrum auctions and wireless LAN management. Due to their complexity, most existing proposals simplify the allocation problems by reducing physical interference to a graph-based interference model. In this paper, we propose LIGHTHOUSE, a new line of efficient approximation algorithms that operate directly on physical ...

Models and methods for frequency assignment with cumulative interference constraints

In this paper, a realistic modeling of interferences for frequency assignment in hertzian telecommunication networks is presented. In contrast with traditional interference models based only on binary interference constraints involving two frequencies, this new approach considers the case of cumulative disruptions that are modeled through a unique non-binary constraint. To deal with these compl...

Spectrum sensing and resource allocation for multicarrier cognitive radio systems under interference and power constraints

Multicarrier waveforms have been commonly recognized as strong candidates for cognitive radio. In this paper, we study the dynamics of spectrum sensing and spectrum allocation functions in cognitive radio context using very practical signal models for the primary users (PUs), including the effects of power amplifier nonlinearities. We start by sensing the spectrum with energy detection-based wi...

Analysis of Frequency Leakage in Different Optical Paths of Nano-Metrology Systems Based on Frequency-Path Models

The drawing of frequency-path (F-P) models of optical beams is an approach for nonlinearity analysis in nano-metrology systems and sensors based on the laser interferometers. In this paper, the frequency-path models of four nano-metrology laser interferometry systems are designed, analyzed and simulated, including ...
